1. Responsible entity and scope
This policy applies to Pause & Pattern Studio, published for SLOW THINKING INSTITUTE, 1600 N 1575 W APT H205, LAYTON, UT 84041. It covers the Android app and its device-only educational features.
2. Data you choose to create
You may enter pause notes, evidence observations, assumptions, alternate viewpoints, counterexamples, consequences, tradeoffs, conversation prompts, and revision reflections.
3. Purpose of local processing
The app processes those entries only to display, organize, revise, export, and delete your work on your own device.
4. Data not collected by the publisher
The publisher does not collect names, account credentials, contacts, photos, audio, precise location, device identifiers, advertising IDs, analytics, medical records, financial accounts, or government identifiers.
5. Accounts, servers, and cloud services
There is no account, login, publisher database, cloud sync, or app-operated server. The publisher therefore has no server copy of device-only entries.
6. Permissions
The app requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, notification, calendar, phone, storage, advertising, or background-service permission.
7. SDKs, advertising, analytics, and tracking
The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, social, payment, mapping, or profiling SDK. Core Android and Jetpack Compose libraries render the app.
8. Sharing, disclosure, and sale
The app does not automatically transmit, disclose, or sell data. If you tap Share, Android presents destinations you select; the destination's privacy terms then apply. Contact opens your selected email app.
9. Children and sensitive information
The app is designed for adults age 18 and over. Do not enter child-identifying records, protected case details, passwords, financial credentials, health records, allegations, emergency information, or other information that requires a dedicated secure system.
10. Educational and decision boundary
The app supports reflective learning. It is not mental-health treatment, diagnosis, crisis support, legal advice, financial advice, a professional assessment, or a substitute for qualified judgment.
11. Retention
Entries remain in app-private storage until you edit them, use Delete All Local Data, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app.
12. Deletion and account deletion
Use Delete All Local Data inside the app for device-side deletion. Because the app has no accounts, account deletion is not applicable.
13. Security, backup, and device transfer
Android app-private storage limits access by other apps. Android backup and device-to-device extraction are disabled. No local storage method can be promised as absolutely secure.
14. User choices, policy changes, and contact
You control whether to enter, revise, export, or delete information. Material changes will be reflected in an app update and this page. Privacy questions may be emailed to DaughertyAlejandra3bhyma9@gmail.com.
